College Football Betting; Easy and Profitable
Publicado Huwebes, Agosto 9, 2012

Most sports football enthusiast bet on the teams that is considered as the people’s choice or the favorite team. For them, betting on a highly popular team gives them more chances of winning, and increased their sense of satisfaction because of the monetary win on top of the actual game's victory. Sportsbook owners know this, and so, most of the time you will find great value on the underdog team rather than on the favorite team. It is very important that you shop around and compare betting college football betting odds prior placing your bet. Sports books have to offer odds for 40-50 games and it's easy for a few of them to accidentally give better odds than they should be a few games. Try to have at least three sportsbook accounts funded online, so you can spot these fluctuations.
Moreover, you also have to learn the different types of you can make when betting on the college football.
College Football Betting Type #1 - Spread Bets
Point Spread or the Spread bets, means betting on the difference between the two teams scores. Several options are usually chosen by the sports book and offered at particular odds. All you have to do is choose the one that gives you the best value.
Some sports books will allow you to adjust the point spread in the bet by putting more money into it, but this may also affect the odds you are offered.
College Football Betting Type #2 - Straight Bets
Straight bets or also known as the Money line bets, means betting on the team which you predict will win or lose the game. There is no point spread involved, even if they win the game by a single point; you still win your bet.
College football betting, unlike from the previous years, becomes more complex because of the variations on types of bet, odds and strategies. But you can always your betting process and strategies as simple as you can. Opt for bets which you think you have the edge of wining your bets. Opt for money line bets which you are as certain of as you can be, and as you go along your betting journey, you can easily make your betting style and strategies much compound.

NFL Betting Quaterbacks To Avoid
Publicado Miyerkules, Agosto 8, 2012

Nowadays, NFL had been a Quarterback centered game. Gone are the days where running backs are the most important key for a team to succeed – it’s now up to the Quarterbacks. The majority of starting NFL quarterbacks has adequate to immense talent and are in wonderful positions to succeed in 2012, with solid running games, a batch of quality pass-catching options and sturdy offensive lines in front of them. But some, well, they need help in a major way. In this article, I’m going to talk about some quarterbacks that would definitely affect your NFL betting. These three guys are the Quarterbacks to avoid this NFL season. And although these three guys have the chance to bounce back from vastly disappointing 2011 campaigns, still they're certainly not worth betting on this season.
Blaine Gabbert - Gabbert's rookie-season struggles are well-documented. Though the Jaguars may have placed him into the starting lineup much too early, he rarely showed any glimpses of potential as a viable NFL starter in his first year. Moreover, Gabbert was sacked 44 times in 2011, and the team did not address the offensive line in the draft. Gabbert has a good arm, but if there's one NFL starting signal-caller you cannot bet on, it's this guy. In fact, I wouldn't bet on any Jaguars starting QB.
Kevin Kolb - Kolb's in a quarterback competition of his own in Arizona with former seventh-round pick John Skelton, a guy that outperformed the $65 million man in 2011. The pressure's on Kolb this year due to the mega deal he inked last offseason. He's appeared in only 16 games over the last two seasons, as he's earned the label as an oft-injured quarterback. After nine touchdowns, eight interceptions and an 81.1 QB rating while playing in nine games, it's difficult to bet on Kolb in 2012.
Christian Ponder - Ponder was better than fellow rookie Blaine Gabbert last year, but not by much. He's surprisingly dodged the vast criticism Gabbert received despite being a first-round pick himself. In 11 games, Ponder completed a shade below 55 percent of his passes, averaged only 6.37 yards per attempt and tossed 13 touchdowns to 13 interceptions with five fumbles en route to a paltry 70.1 QB rating. With question marks at wide receiver and along the offensive line, with a running back returning from a devastating injury, you'd be smart not to bet on Ponder this season.
Quarterbacks greatly affect NFL betting that is why it is very important to choose a team which has great quarterbacks. But bear in mind that this is only one aspect/role of a team So research on the other statistics for other team roles so that you will know which teams to bet on.

How to Read the Different Types of the NCAA Football Betting Odds
Publicado Lunes, Agosto 6, 2012
Every sports has a different style of odds to master, and for every online bookmarking sites you see on the internet you will find different sports betting odds offer. If you love college football game, it has no difference with the basketball odds. NCAA football betting odds also consist of three different types of bets: point spread, moneyline, and totals.
Point spread is the most common type of bet. With this bet, you have to predict who you think will cover the point spread set by the oddsmaker. For instance, you are watching the game between the Missouri and the Texas A&M, and the spread on this game is 7 points. You will see the NCAA football betting odds like this:
Missouri +8
Texas A&M -8
If you are betting on the spread and you pick the Texas A&M to win, you are saying that they are going to win by more than 8 points. Incidentally, betting on the Missouri is saying that the Missouri will lose by less than 8 points.
Another popular type of bet is the Money line, which are commonly used by bettors who have large bankrolls and can afford the peculiar prices that are sometimes put down on a team. So, be careful when betting on money line as they usually come real pricey. Make sure that you have enough money to spend with this bet (e.g. -1500 for a great team, +1500 for a bad team). When betting for money line, you just have to place who you think will win or lose the game, no points to considerate.
So how will you read the NCAA football betting odds in a Money line bet? Simple! The team that has a negative sign indicates that it is the favorite team which is likely to win the game, while the positive sign refers to the underdog team or the team which is more likely to lose the outright of the game. Betting on the favorite team shows the amount that you need to risk in order to win $100, while betting on the underdog indicates the amount of money you can win in every $100 bet.
Lastly, are the Totals bets. This bet are based upon whether you believe the combined scores of the two teams involved will go over or under whatever the posted total for that game is. Totals usually fluctuate by 0.5 points. The more money that comes in on a game total of 57 will drive that total up higher, say to 57.5 or 58. If the money is coming in on the under, the total will move down to 56.5 or 56.

College football particularly NCAA college football is extremely popular. A game in which on a weekly average hundreds of millions of dollars are bet on teams around the nation. Some of the most popular teams throughout the years are the Notre Dame, Michigan, Penn State ,Texas, and Ohio State,. Chances are you've given a shot at college football betting if you're a fan of college football. It's a great way to add some excitement to the ball game. And nothing feels better than your team winning and winning some cash on the side.
It can be easy to lose your money quickly if you are relatively new to college football betting, though. Making decisions on which bets to place is hard enough without having to worry about whether you will actually receive your winnings from the sports book. Making them very dangerous in itself since college football betting can be very tricky and very risky. On top of that, there is a huge talent gap from the top to the bottom and hence it makes things even more complicated. Here are some tips to get you started.
There are always changes when it comes to the roster of players or the coaching staff. Any change in the line-up of players and coaches can surely affect the team's performance. When analyzing statistics from the previous season, you must never forget to analyze the statistics in the current season as well. Another important factor is a player incurring an injury either before or during the game. Therefore, it is also important to know how this player's injury or absence in the game can affect the performance of the team.
In order to win continually, people should understand the principles behind the use of betting lines. The college football lines provided by online betting and gambling companies are based from statistics and numbers attributed to the players and teams involved. It is very hard to predict if the betting lines are correct or reliable since a lot of things can happen in a game.
A great technique to follow is spread your bankroll around using good money management techniques. You can also try a few professional handicappers and find one that wins for you and will share some of his/her knowledge of why he is picking the games.
Betting on college football can be tricky, but also very rewarding. The games are always fun to watch. No one gets pumped up for a game like college athletes. If you know what you're doing, making college football picks can be a lucrative endeavor.

Types of Bet on College Football
Publicado Linggo, Hulyo 8, 2012
Betting on NCAA football is very similar to NFL Betting – if you are familiar with betting on NFL football you will have no problem learning how to bet on college football games. There are three main types of college football betting – spread betting, money line betting and over under betting. There are also other college football bets you can make, such as prop bets and future bets. Below we will explain everything you need to know about the different types of bet on college football:
1. Spread Betting - Definitely the most common type of college football betting is spread betting. When betting on the spread in football you are choosing either one team or the other, but it is more complicated than the team simply winning the game. The oddsmakers will set a number of points that the favored team is favored by, which is referred to as the spread. In order for a bet on the favored team to win the team must win by more than the amount of points they are favored to win by. A bet on the underdog team on the spread would win if they lost by less than the amount the favored team was favored by or simply won the game straight up. Spread betting can be a little confusing to new bettors, but we have created an NFL Spread Betting guide that will explain college football spread betting fully.
2. Money Line Betting - This is a lot easier to understand than college football spread betting. With money line betting you are simply picking which team will win the game. The team that is favored to win the game will, of course, pay out less money than the amount you wager, because they are more likely to win. The underdog teams will almost always payout more money than the amount you wager. New college football bettors tend to like betting on the money line because of how simple it is to understand.
3. Over Under Betting - Over under betting is also referred to as game total betting, and involves betting on the total amount of points scored by both teams combined. The oddsmakers will set a game total, which is the amount of points that will be scored by both teams. College football bettors will then be able to bet on the combined score of both teams adding up to a number above or below (over or under) the posted total. For example, the total may be set at 56.5, and if you thought the two teams would combine for more points you would bet the over, or if you thought they would combine for less points scored you would bet the under. Over under betting isn’t too difficult to understand, and can be a lot of fun for football bettors.
4. Prop Betting - Prop betting involves betting on anything other than the final outcome of the game. Although it is most commonly done in bowl games, prop bets can be made on regular season college football games as well. Some things you can bet on include half time scores, individual player performances, or first player to score a touchdown. Another type of prop bet involves betting on future outcomes, which are often referred to as future bets. In college football you can make a variety of different prop bets for future outcomes, including who will win the national championship, which team will win each conference, and you can even bet on which player will win the Heisman trophy.
So here are the types of bet you can do in college football. Look for a great sports betting site and start college football betting. If you will ask me on to what site is the best to bet on college football, I would hands down say, Sportsbook.com. Sportsbook.com had been the leading betting site for a decade now and you will definitely enjoy the site as I enjoy it.

The 2 Most Common College Football Betting Types
Publicado
Sportsbook owners know that lots of bets will come in on highly popular teams - punters naturally want to bet on their favorites with some vague idea that it will help them to play better, and when they win there is an increased sense of satisfaction because of the monetary win on top of the actual game's victory.
In such cases, betting against the publicly supported college football team can be great value, but make sure you always shop around when choosing the picks you're going to bet on. Sports books have to offer odds for 40-50 games and it's easy for a few of them to accidentally give better odds than they should be a few games. Try to have at least three sportsbook accounts funded online, so you can spot these fluctuations.
If you're new to college football betting, here's the two most common bets you can do. There are more types of bet you can do but I suggest you choose these first when you are just beginning.
Spread Bets
Spread betting is where you bet on the difference between the two teams scores. Several options are usually chosen by the sports book and offered at particular odds. All you have to do is choose the one that gives you the best value. Some sports books will allow you to adjust the point spread in the bet by putting more money into it, but this may also affect the odds you are offered.
Straight Bets
With a straight bet, you simply bet on the team you think will win, regardless of how much they will win by. Even if they win the game by a single point, you still win your bet. There are variations on straight bets that adjust the odds to take into account draws, but they vary from sports book to sports book.
College football betting can be a complex thing thanks to all the variations on bet type, odds and strategies, but it's best to keep it as simple as possible. Go for straightforward bets which you are as certain of as you can be, and as you become more experienced, then you can start to expand your betting style. Good luck with your college football bets.

Reasons Why We Love College Football
Publicado
The emotion. Walk a college campus the week before a huge game. It's what everybody is talking about. There is a certain tension in the air - as each fan knows they are about to pour so much of their own energy into Saturday's festivities and will support their team no matter what.
The rankings. Let's face it. When your team is returning 17 starters and last year you finished up at 10-2 coming off a big bowl win - you are scouring the internet in early April for some obscure preseason rankings just to find out what website or magazine has your squad ranked the highest.
The tradition. Tradition is littered across the college football landscape. It loiters on the street corners, in pre-game festivities, in half-time marching band performances, in post-game rituals, each big rivalry game brings countless traditions.
The loyalty. Loyalty to a certain team may run for generations in a family. I will forever have a place in my heart for the University of Dayton - where I spent 4 great years of my life. Whether you move far away or stay in your hometown - you have deep-rooted passion and care for your team. Absolute loyalty to your Alma Matter or that team that your family has rooted on for generations is not subject to change and becomes a part of your lifestyle every fall.
The college atmosphere. It's freaking outstanding. Let's do some quick phrase association - crisp fall tailgating on over 110,000 fans, marching band traditions and many more. This could go on for hours - I'll spare you.
Live mascots. Unfortunately, Michigan doesn't boast a live wolverine on gameday. However, back in 1927 Fielding Yost had brought in 10 wolverines from Alaska and would bring out two of them in cages on big gamedays. But we all know that it is harmful, therefore, the practice of bringing wolverines into the stadium had to be discontinued after only one year. The practice continues on for many schools around the country though - some notable gameday mascots are Uga - the Georgia Bulldog; Ralphie - the Colorado Buffalo; Bevo - the Texas Longhorn; Tiger - Auburn's golden eagle; and lastly the buckeye - it's a scary nut Ohio State fans wear around their neck that imposes fear at anyone who makes eye-contact with the ferocious nut. I hear that if you see a stray buckeye lying there on the ground - the safest thing to do is run in the opposite direction screaming obscenities.
Walk-ons. One of the best stories of the 2008 college football season was when Matt Williams, an average college student, came out of the stands during halftime and put home a 30 yard field goal in a kicking contest. In desperate need of a kicker, the Texas Tech coaching staff set their eyes on the halftime star. Matt Williams ended up kicking nine extra points in his debut.
The Heisman Trophy. Perhaps the most revered award in all of sports. Each year, the best player in the game gets this award - there is no money involved, no free cars, nothing but a name etched in history.
Money money money! Not here! No 23 year old millionaires with bling bling on these teams. These players aren't making a dime out there. So it's only natural for us fans to have more of an emotional connection with these youngsters laying it on the line each week for the love of the sport and their school.
These are just some of the reasons why I think college football can kick those other sports anytime. I can go on and on for days because I just love college football and will forever be cheering on my favorite team.

Must Read College Football Betting Tips
Publicado
Add to this, the fact that point spreads and over/unders can be astronomical, and the dilemma of consistently making money by betting the college game comes into focus. The basic problem is that with over 100 teams in 11 conferences and each club playing 12 games, there's so much to know, keep current on and analyze that it all seems daunting.
There's one final problem-you won't find moneyline bets for the college game. That means that you have to play the point spread, which can be anywhere from 1.5 to 45 points! It's not easy to pick a game where the favorite team is at minus-45.
With these challenges in mind, here are five tips that you can use to make your college football betting experience positive and profitable.
Bet Low to Middle Point Spreads
There's no doubt about it that the Pac-10's USC Trojans will beat the WAC's San Jose State Spartans but will they do it by 35 points? And there's very little chance that the University of Louisiana at Monroe Warhawks will upset the Texas Longhorns but will Texas win by the posted spread of 40 points? Try to stick to games with point spreads that are 12 and under. Smaller spreads are more easily overcome by the favored club and make better bets. Should you always bet the favorite? No. You still need to do your research and analysis before placing any wager.
Consider the Over/Under on Mismatches
On games that are huge mismatches, such as USC versus San Jose State and the University of Louisiana at Monroe against Texas try betting the over/under, which are at 50 and 62.5 points respectively. It makes sense that a wealth of points will be racked up in both games, mostly by the teams that are expected to win.
Become an Expert on Two Conferences
Learn as much as you can about two of the major conferences and focus on those two during league play. You'll have plenty of games to wager on and you'll be able to make decisions based on a wealth of knowledge. But don't be a stranger to the other conferences. Each week check the schedule of college games, researching a select number in other conferences. If you find a few games with promising spreads then bet them.
Stay in the Game
In order to be successful, you need to wager every week. One week you may go 2- 8, while the next you might be 6- 4 and the next 9- 1. You're trying to achieve an average success rate of 60 to 65%. That rate is for the entire season. Be realistic, even the experts hit a bump or two in the road. The way to recover from those bumps is to continue driving ahead.
Read Daily
Set aside some time every day to read about the upcoming games, including any breaking news that may affect outcomes. Avail yourself of stats and reports related to recent and seasonal performance and read expert analysis from commentators that you trust. Also, keep your eyes open for anything that involves around college football betting, such as an injury or suspension of a player, that might result in a line being changed or affect how you bet a game.

Certain sports betting sites only accept clients located in certain parts of the globe, so it is a good idea to check beforehand.
Third, you should also take a look at how they handle financial transactions. There are many ways that you can fund your online sports betting account, such as by using a credit card, bank account, or an e-wallet service. The ways that you can use to withdraw funds will vary according to the rules of each sports betting site. For example, if you used a credit card to make a deposit in your account, certain sportsbooks will only let you withdraw by crediting money on the same credit card.
Another thing that sets sportsbooks apart is the promotions that they offer. In order to attract new clients, certain sites may offer you a free bet of a certain amount, or add a percentage of money to your original deposit. It is worth noting that there are certain conditions which apply to these promotions, for example you would often need to have wagered the amount of your deposit and the bonus received several times before you are eligible to withdraw money from your account.

College Football Betting Options To Win
Publicado
College football betting can be a great deal of fun. There’s nothing like watching your college team kick the ass of its all time rival. Or your big underdog team come through and wins with a last-second field goal. All this excitement and fun can disappear in just a few moments when you realize you bet badly and lost all your hard earned money. That is why it is very important to know what you’re getting into if you really want to bet. Bettors should have a crystal clear understanding of sports odds and the teams they wager on. In this article, I will basically explain the type of college football bets there is and will offer a couple of tips on making good college football picks. Read on and learn things about college football betting.
Team Based - The most common types of college football picks you can make are team based. Individual players of college football lack the national renown of star professional athletes in other sports such as LeBron James or Albert Pujols. At any rate, the college game is much more team-oriented than professional sports, so it is fitting that team bets are the way to go. Besides, it is difficult enough to learn about the quality of Georgia Tech's defense without having to memorize all the best players in the conference. Instead, betting focuses on the team aspect. The odds themselves are not hard to grasp.
Spread betting - Betting the spread is a popular choice. The sports book will set the spread for a game. An example would be Texas winning by 4.5 over Oklahoma. There aren't half points in football, of course, so what does this mean? By picking the underdog, Oklahoma, a bettor takes the points. If Oklahoma wins the game or loses by fewer than five points, the bet is won. On the other hand, betting on Texas would involve giving the points. The bettor is going with the favorite, but Texas must win by five for the bet to pay out. The spread is a way of evening the betting field for teams that aren't equally matched on the football field. It also allows for some precise betting. If you think that the favorite will win but that the underdog will put up a good fight, you can take the points and win based on your shrewd reasoning.
Straight bet or money line – With this college football betting type you just bet on the favorite or the underdog to win the game. The bonus is that winning an underdog bet pays out more than winning a bet on the favorite. You can play it safe with the favorite, or go for the big score by betting on the underdog. An example listing is Oklahoma +120 Texas -140. This means that a $100 bet on the underdog, Oklahoma, wins $120. It takes a $140 bet on Texas to win $100 because Texas is considered the favorite.
Over/under - An example is betting the total score of a game, counting both sides. If that Oklahoma-Texas matchup is expected to be a fairly high-scoring affair, the over/under might be 64. If you take the over, then you win if the teams total more than 64 points, no matter who actually wins. Going with the under is a winning bet if the teams combine for fewer than 64 points. This is a good type of bet for people who like stats and trends more than the details and psychology of individual teams. The over/under bet can also be exciting right up to the end of a game. The winner may have been decided in the second quarter, but the loser could catch up just enough to scrape over the line.
College football betting can be tricky, but also very rewarding. No one gets pumped up for a game like college athletes. The games are always fun to watch, and many people find them even more riveting when something is on the line. Be sure to get as much information as possible about the teams and bets before getting started this year.

College Football Betting Trends To Study
Publicado
Sports trends are important factors to watch out for when betting. Does your team hold a winning streak or a losing streak? Is your team on fire? Your chances of winning is base on these trends especially in football. College football betting and NFL betting both have trends. There is one difference between the two though: NCAA teams stay truer to trends than the pros. If a team is 1-11 against the spread (ATS) on the first Saturday in October, most of the time that trend holds true. It's funny sometimes because it's like both teams know that trend and it turns out to be a massacre on a Saturday morning. The scary part is that there are trends on anything and everything! First Saturdays, last Saturdays, morning games, night games, afternoon games, temperature trends, color trends, if the quarterback or running back had so many yards the game before trends, you name it, they have a trend for it - and the real scary part is a lot of times they hold true. In the college ranks, studying the trends is a great way to bet.
Rivalry games play a huge part in a point spread. A lot of times the teams are of equal talent and other times one team is really good and the other is rather crappy. But if it's a rivalry game, the point spreads are usually pretty low no matter how good or bad the teams are. A quick example: In 1996, when Jake "The Snake" Plummer was playing for Arizona State and had that great team, they played their rival Arizona at Arizona. At the time, Arizona State was ranked in the top 3 while Arizona was struggling to win 5 games.
I was figuring the point spread to be in the minus 20's for Arizona State. My mouth dropped when I saw the opening line: Arizona State -7. I said to myself that can't be right but in fact it was. I thought to myself, even being alumni of the University of Arizona, this was a no brainer bet, Arizona State all the way. Arizona State had a chance to be National Champs and even though Arizona was their rival it should be a blowout. For the first half, it was a close game; I actually believe it was tied at halftime. But in the end Arizona St. did blow them out 56-14.
A minus 7-point spread just shows how big a rivalry game is to a point spread. If you look at the rest of the games in that series since that 1996 game, not one game is decided by more than 10 points! Rivalry games usually stay rather close. Look at Florida/Tennessee, those games are usually real close and those point spreads are just as close. Be careful with rivalry games, even though a team is much better than the other, doesn't mean it’s a sure victory.
Be sure to check out this college football betting trends before putting that hard earn money in your bet. And you’ll see you’ll have a winning trend too.

Enjoy Winning College Football Betting With Our Tips
Publicado
College football betting had become very popular for college students - After all, who wouldn't want to show some school spirit while enjoying an all-American football game and earn some good cash. It had also been popular for adult bettors around the US who bet online. However, most people who use this service are usually first timers and are not really well-versed in the art of betting for college football games, or even in any sports matches. Here is a quick look into the fundamentals of college football betting. Take note so that you can welcome the possibility of earning while enjoying your favorite college football games.
In college football betting there are three different kinds of odds. These odds are called the side, the money line and the total. The money line odd is the simplest and easiest to understand. This odd is betting on who you think will win the match. For example, in an NCAA game between the University of Texas Longhorns and the Troy University Trojans, the money line might tell Trojans -500 and Longhorns +550. If you think the Longhorns will win, you can bet $100 and then make a a $550 profit.
On the other hand, if you think the Colts will win, you can bet $500 to win $100. Betting on the side, meanwhile, will make the lines maker, or the person who sets the odds for betting, give the stronger team a handicap. This will balance the two teams in the betting. As with the example above, with the Trojans and the Longhorns meeting in an NCAA game, the lines maker may put 11 points to the Trojans, making them more superior to the Longhorns.
If you bet -11 on the Longhorns, you will get -110 odds. However, you will only win if the Trojans lose by more than 11 points. If the Trojans have a more than 10 point victory, or if they lose the game, all bets on +11 Longhorns will be the winners. If the Trojans win the game by exactly 11 points, the game will be referred as a "push," all of the bets will then be returned to the bettors. Lastly, the total is a bet on the total combined points by both sides in a particular game.
In the Trojans vs. Longhorns game, if the lines maker decides that the total will be at 51 and you think the total score will be lower, you can bet on the "under." If you think otherwise, you can bet on the "over". A "push" also occurs when you bet on the same line was set to exactly the final total and as betting on the side, bets will be are refunded. Information on college football betting lines is readily available on the internet. It is advised however, that, as in any form of gambling, one should take extra caution when betting. Bet when you have the extra money and be on it to earn cash, not to find the thrill of risking.
Sometimes, the thrill of risking and winning has been proven to be more addictive than actually winning money. That is why many bettors do risky bets. But remember that if you are a beginner, you should play safe. Stick with these tips I have given you above and you should learn how to control, when the bets are against you. Enjoy college football betting!
