College Football Betting Tips You Must Follow
Publicado Huwebes, Marso 31, 2011
Football is a great game whether it is played by the talented players of the National Football League NFL or by the fresh talent of college football jocks. But football watching can even be more exciting for fans if there is a bit of football betting going on while the action is at hand. So in effect, you not only become excited for your favorite team or your home team, you are also cheering for yourself and for the predictions you have made when it comes to football betting. Aside from this, football betting offers you a chance to earn a bit of money. For hardcore sports fans of football, this is great because the deep knowledge and football gut feeling that you have can lead to making the right decisions when it comes to football betting. Now, there are already a lot of articles found on the Internet regarding tips on NFL football betting. Perhaps you should also check out what college betting is all about. So, what we did is we gathered this list of tips that you need to follow in order to be more effective in college football betting. Good luck and we hope this article is able to help you! And most importantly, make your football betting experience more fun!
1. You should always consider the strength of the team with their conference performance. The thing is, conference strength is something that moves in cycles. For the last Bowl season, we have witnessed the Big Ten Conference perform really well in the Bowl games. In fact, they won all five bowl games where the members of the conference participated. They were also able to participate in four of those games and garner two upset wins by underdogs (Wisconsin and Purdue). So, what the Bowl performances showcased is the rise once more of the Big Ten as the best college football conference. The Big Ten had 7 out of their 11 teams be part of the Bowl this season, so that alone kind of cuts of all questions and debates about their powerful performance.
2. You must take a look and analyze the games against common opponents. It is a common occurrence in which both the participating teams in a Bowl will face one another in the season. What you should do is you get a hold of those games and examine the common competitors and see what data you can analyze. Do deep research and do not limit the examination of the games to just comparing the final score. Take a hold of the stats and see if there are some pointers you can pick up to help you in your decision when betting time arrives.

Boxing Betting Easy to Follow Tips
If you like boxing betting and want tips on how to win, you have come to the right place and are now reading the right article. We love boxing betting and so do millions of people who participate in boxing betting with each boxing event. Before we give you some of our easy to follow boxing betting tips, here are some basic information about boxing for people out there who just started enjoying boxing and boxing betting.
Boxing Information 101: Boxing is a combat sport, and a fierce one at that. Boxing is also termed as pugilism. Boxing, as many of you have seen before, involves two competitors fighting each other with just the use of their fists. In an official boxing match, there is usually a referee who is engaged and focused on the fighters in three minute intervals. These intervals are dubbed as rounds. The fighters usually have similar weights. In boxing, there are four ways in which a fighter can be declared a winner and these are 1) if the competition is knocked out, which means he or she can no longer get up in the count of 10, also known as a KO; 2) if the other fighter is considered to be too injured and cannot continue to fight anymore then you call that a technical knockout or TKO; 3) when the fighter is disqualified for not sticking to the boxing rules; and 4) if there is no stoppage of the fight after an agreed number of rounds, the referee or the judges’ scorecards will determine the winner.
As for the tips for boxing betting…
Always learn about the sport you are betting on; in this case, boxing. Even before putting your hard earned money to bet on a game, you have to first become an expert in that sport. You have to know everything about the fighters and how their fighting styles will affect each other. In making the right pick, doing your homework and researching about the boxers will give you an edge in winning. You should consider information like injuries, training, and the health status of the fighters. Even personal crisis can affect the boxers, and therefore affect their game. It is also good if you get to know the situation and mindset of the players. Some players with fire in their belly, despite being the underdog, can come out as a winner and can give you more profit. Studying the sport and doing your homework is the key to winning, making you rely less on luck when you do this.

Football Betting Is Fun If You Are Winning
Publicado
Always be able to pick the straight, right-on champion of the game. It is all or nothing in football betting. So, why is this statement true and relevant? Well, as you know, some handicappers and casual bettors out there always focus on the point spread. They become pre-occupied by it. The question they should be asking themselves is how often does the line really matter anyway? The line only makes an important factor when the favored team wins, but is unable to cover the intended point spread. When the underdog team wins outright then the point spread does not seem to matter. Look at this data: As far back as 1991, the winning team was also able to cover the point spread and the figure for this is roughly 73 percent of the time. That translates to about 3 games in 4, crossing over more than a whopping 5,200 games. In the Bowl games, the figures even become higher.
When you choose to bet with the underdog, choose to bet using the moneyline betting system, but use the system with several conditions in mind. The moneyline wagers naturally have no points. The point of the system is you need to call the winner of the game straight up. So when you choose the underdog on the moneyline, you may read such odds figures as +140 or plus 2 to 1. Statistics show that when double digit underdog teams (these teams typically receive about 10 points or more) win 25 percent of the time straight up. So what happens is if you can achieve around 3 to 1 on your underdog pick, what you are getting is a fair share of profit. It is important to remember that the average of the Bowl underdog usually registers at +6. This means the double digit dogs are not that great, and usually, in a Bowl match, 6 results as a double digit line.
December is the season for the underdogs. On the other side of the fence, New Year is the time to bet on the favorites. There is a misconception shared by football bettors who like betting as handicappers. The misinformation is the idea of making money over the long term just by blindly choosing the underdog all the time.

Hockey Betting Is Fun!
Publicado
For sports bettors out there looking for alternative sports to bet on, the ones that are not as popular as basketball, football and baseball, hockey betting is a great choice. I bet you did not know that NHL betting in particular is a great sport to wager on because it is dubbed as the most evenly matched professional team sports league in the world. How’s that for convincing? Hockey betting not only makes your NHL experience exciting, it also makes it a profitable one at that. And because most teams in the NHL are evenly matched, the actual payout in hockey betting is pretty decent, and you can win in any given night. Even if you bet on the favorite NHL hockey team, you will find that you can get a profit higher than when you compare it to, say, NFL betting.
In hockey betting, the most popular type of betting is moneyline betting. If you call yourself a sharp bettor, you can really make a killing in hockey betting. In fact, hockey betting has become exciting that it has increased popularity among sports bettors. NHL hockey is a North American sport, and it is especially very popular in Canada. So now, there are more Canadians doing side betting activities while watching the game. Aside from this, hockey betting has become more popular all over the world because of the Internet. Now, people from as far away as Asia can do some NHL betting because they can just access online sportsbooks and watch games in various sites. Hockey betting is fun, but remember to do so very responsibly and only bet the amount of money you can afford to lose.
So, why are moneyline odds the choice for hockey betting? Well first of all, when you say moneyline, it is a direct form of betting where you call the winning team, and that team has to win the game outright. You get the payout on the same night. This is pretty straightforward betting and one of the easiest compare to the point spread, where you add a handicap to the underdog team. Because the NFL teams are evenly matched, using the point spread for hockey betting is not advisable and can be disadvantageous.

Baseball Betting: A Guide to Understanding the Totals
Publicado

For you who are new to baseball betting or just sports betting in general, over/unders are known as totals. An over/under in baseball betting and in sports betting in general is a type of betting opportunity which gamblers can take part of. In over/unders, the gambler is allowed to wager that the final score a game will come out over the bookie’s posted total or go under the number. In over/unders, the winner of the bet is chosen when the final score of both teams are added up. Actually, an over/under type of betting is popular because of its simplicity.
Here’s an example: Imagine that baseball team A and baseball team B are pitted against each other. The final score of the two teams total 40. So you go to a bookie and place your bet. You win the wager if team A wins 24 -17, but you would not win the wager if the combined total is just 38. If the final score is 40 then the bookies will consider that bet a push, or what is known as a tie. The money that you bet will be handed back to you.
When it comes to baseball betting, totals are pretty much the same as in hockey. In the over/unders, the bookie will post a number and you decide whether or the game will be over or under the total. The same concept or principal applies to football and basketball over/under betting. However, one difference is the amount of money a person must risk. Compared to the NBA or NFL scores, baseball and hockey is lower so the bookies are not that comfortable to change the total number. What these bookies will do is adjust the odds instead. An example is a game between the Giants and the Dodgers. The bookie set the number at 9. You have to give US$500 to bet on the over and do not expect the bookie to raise the total to 9.5. What the bookie will do is he will ask the bettors that want to risk betting on the over 9, to bet US$120 so that they can win $100.

A Short Introductory Guide to Baseball Betting
Publicado
Baseball betting is part of the American culture, just like hot dogs on the bleachers and cold beer on a sunny day. One thing to always remember, though, is baseball betting is fun. And to make it fun, you must know how to manage your money. Always have a bankroll set and never bet money you cannot afford to lose. Enjoy it and good luck!
Things you need to understand before being involved in baseball betting are the following points:
1. Understand how the moneyline type of betting works. Okay, most people are veering away from baseball betting because they feel that it is a bit complicated to understand. Some sports betting beginners are confused as to why there is no point spread betting; and the odds of baseball betting can be different from NFL and NBA betting. So in order to lessen your confusion, you first have to understand how the moneyline works.
Moneyline betting is what smart and sharp bettors usually adapt to. Aside from this, if you are a smart bettor, you will not wager on odds that are higher than -140 when it comes to baseball betting. Instead, what a veteran baseball betting sports guy (or girl) will do is look for the team considered as the underdogs. The concept is this: If you bet on nothing but the underdog teams, you will find that you will be able to win less than half of the bets, but in the long run you will make a profit because of the huge payout from the odds.
2. Understand what a run line is all about. The concept of the run line is basically the combination of the point spread plus the moneyline. The run line is pretty easy to understand and does not have to be as confusing as it sounds.
In a run line, you will usually have a consistent 1.5 run spread. It is only in rare occasions that you will see the value of the spread jump up to 2.5 runs. The team which is favored in the moneyline is also the team which will be favored in the run line.
